VolaFin

Personal finance management platform built around one question: how much can I actually spend? Vola means money in Malagasy — the rest is FINance.

Why VolaFin exists

A bank balance is a liar by omission: it shows what you have, not what is already spoken for. Rent due Friday, the subscription renewing next week — money that looks available and isn't. VolaFin computes a Real Available Balance in real time so the number you see is the number you can spend.

The Real Available Balance

Gross balances across every account, minus everything already committed to upcoming charges:

Amount
Gross balance (all accounts)2 180 000 Ar
Committed (upcoming recurring charges)-939 500 Ar
Real available balance1 240 500 Ar

The figure updates live as transactions and schedules change — no month-end surprise, no mental arithmetic.

Features

  • Multi-Account Management: Bank accounts, cash, Mobile Money — one unified dashboard
  • Real Available Balance: What you can truly spend after committed charges (see above)
  • Income & Expenses Tracking: Categorized transactions
  • Recurring Expenses: Schedules generated and tracked automatically
  • Financial Forecasts: Balance evolution charts that surface tight months before they happen
  • Savings Goals: Set targets, track contributions, celebrate completion
  • Admin Dashboard: Full control over finances
  • Enhanced Security: Secure authentication, encrypted tokens, private data

In your pocket, not just your browser

VolaFin ships as an Android app distributed through versioned GitHub Releases (currently v1.3.0) — installable without any app store — alongside the web application. The interface is bilingual English/French thanks to next-intl.
